Value Engineering

This service is offered either as an extension to the Cost Plan or as a standalone commission. Project Value Management is designed to ensure the project budget is allocated appropriately, and where necessary, to explore alternative design options to achieve best value.

Tender costs

Whitebeam are often contacted by Clients that have received tender costs for their project that exceed the budget available. Once the tenders received have been verified it is generally the case that the Clients have to consider some form of compromise to the existing proposals in order that the project can progress.

Cost budgeting

With extensive knowledge of resource costs, building methods and product options, together with an appreciation of the current design ethos, and experience in managing expectations, we are successful in adapting the existing details to bring costs within budget without compromising the fundamental design, or ‘must have’ client features.

Ensuring clients needs are met

This process may involve promoting open discussion with third parties including architects, engineers, contractors and suppliers in order to bring together all aspects of the project to achieve a solution that meets the Clients’ needs.
